About me

Hi ,I am Jo owner of Shadesink a semi-permanent makeup artist in Microblading, Lipblush ,Machine Brows , Eyeliner and also Airbrush treatments which are non permanent.Thank you taking the time to read my “About me page “and opening up my website and I am so pleased to meet you. Since leaving school in the late 80’s my life has had many varied paths. I was born in North Wales but left in my early twenties moving around the country with work opportunities firstly being in the Beauty & makeup industry in Cheshire,working on Bond Street in London to working in the Events& Promotion industry around Europe. I also owned  a cleaning business and Cheese& wine business whilst living in Dorset ,so it’s been an eventful 35 years. I am a mum of a teenager daughter and two shiz Tzu dogs.I love vegan food ,shopping with my daughter , spa weekends, long dog walks and my love of Ibiza , Pilates, seeing friends for a dance and a cocktail.

I changed career paths early 2024 after closing my cleaning business after ten years,I needed a change and the PMU industry seemed appealing so I took the plunge and got trained in PMU and never looked back. I am passionate about what I do and give dedication to all my lovely clients to enhancing your natural beauty.I do believe semi permanent makeup is here to stay and will get more and  more advanced with time. It’s cost effective and it’s safe. With each passing day, I strive to stay at the forefront of innovations, ensuring Shadesink offers you the best in the beauty industry. I did my training for Lipblush in Manchester with the amazing Ashley Aquilina and Brows training with Leisa Roberts in Cheshire at BrowHQ early 2024 and gained more PMU certificates throughout 2024.I am still quite new to the PMU industry being my second year but I have a fresh new outlook with colour& styles and equipment. I aim to help clients achieve their desired look and make them feel confident and happy about themselves. It takes a lot of patience and practice to get the right look. You will notice when you meet me how personable I am being a peoples person and making you feel happy and comfortable in my presence and no doubt we will have a giggle together and I look forward to meeting you soon.
